We are seeking a Dialysis Clinic Manager to oversee the newest clinic in Shoreline, WA. This clinic is currently open 3 days a week and is looking for a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with dialysis experience to take on clinical responsibilities, direct patient care, case management, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive in managing the growth of the clinic's patient census while ensuring the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the dialysis needs of patients are met and provide direct patient care when needed.
- Review and monitor documentation in patient records for quality of care, outcomes, and compliance with nephrologist orders and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in the development and review of clinical standards, policies, procedures, and standing orders.
- Communicate patient status (physiological and behavioral) to appropriate multidisciplinary team members.
- Intervene during medical crises and provide appropriate care.
- Educate patient care staff on the principles of dialysis and ensure proper equipment and supply use.
- Oversee and monitor patient care processes to ensure all patients receive treatment as per PSKC standards.
- Interpret and execute medical staff orders in a timely manner.
- Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) processes, identifying areas for improvement based on QA reports.
- Supervise patient care staff, conduct evaluations, and manage staff training and orientation.
- Collaborate with PSKC, referring facilities, and physicians, ensuring effective communication and patient coordination.
- Manage patient care tasks as needed, including dialysis treatments, lab orders, medication administration, and patient assessments.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Degree: Registered Nurse (RN) from an accredited nursing school.
- Licensure: Current RN license from the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Current CPR and BLS certifications.
- Eligible to sit for Nephrology Nurse Certification (CHN or CNN) or already hold this designation.
- Experience: At least one year of supervisory or charge nursing experience.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor's in Nursing (preferred).
- Experience: Six months of experience in Acute or Chronic Hemodialysis.
- Nursing Management Experience: Prior management experience in a nursing environment is a plus.
