Job Posting: Diagnostic Sonographer

Non-travel, full-time opening!

Location: St. Louis, MO

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (No weekends) 8a-5p

Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $30-40 per hour. Please contact us for more details.

Are you looking for a non-travel opportunity in the field of imaging? We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Sonographer to join our medical team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring conditions and diseases using ultrasound technology. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate assessment and treatment of patients, making a significant impact on their health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct ultrasound examinations to create visual representations, including but not limited to abdominal, breast vascular, cardiac, and musculoskeletal imaging.
  2. Position patients appropriately to obtain the best possible images while ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  3. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to safety protocols.
  4. Analyze images and data, identify anomalies, and record preliminary findings for review by physicians and healthcare teams.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss findings, clarify results, and aid in patient diagnoses.
  6. Maintain patient records, documenting procedures, findings, and patient histories accurately and securely.
  7. Provide patient education, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring their understanding of the process.
  8. Stay updated with advancements in sonography technology, techniques, and best practices through continuing education and training.
  9. Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting diverse cultural and individual needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding imaging techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, medical staff, and other professionals effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to identify and assess abnormalities in images.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and ethical standards in patient care.
