Insurance Billing & Collections Specialist (Remote - PST/MST Timezones)

We're seeking a motivated and self-sufficient Insurance Billing & Collections Specialist to help ensure timely reimbursements, monitor claims activity, and maximize revenue collection.

What You'll Do:
- Manage assigned claims and meet strict filing deadlines to optimize reimbursements.
- Monitor claims activity to ensure timely payments from all payers.
- Stay informed of insurance carrier guidelines, billing regulations, and procedure changes.
- Conduct full patient account audits to determine appropriate action.
- Review accounts for major treatments requiring additional documentation and process insurance billing for completed procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in insurance claims, appeals, or collections within a dental or medical setting.
- Expertise in dental billing and collections, including knowledge of Denti-Cal (Medi-Cal for dentistry) is a must-have requirement.
- Familiarity with CDT coding and terminology (strongly preferred).
- Experience using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Ability to read dental radiographs and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (a plus!).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing top-tier patient support.
