Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and contribute to providing quality dental care and services to our patients. As a key member of the dental team, the Dental Assistant will assist dentists, dental hygienists, and other staff in various patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and productive patient flow through timely, accurate, and professional patient preparation, including the taking and processing of x-rays.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a dental assistant program as required by the state of PennsylvaniaCurrent Radiation Safety Certificate and/or successful completion of a radiation safety course
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct patient care and dental services, including assessing dental conditions and needs.
  • Organize and prepare instruments for chair-side assistance during dental procedures.
  • Assist the dentist/hygienist throughout dental procedures and complete necessary radiographs.
  • Document dental/medical history, chief complaint, and diagnostic data in patient charts.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental care, and nutrition.
  • Maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment; ensure the orderly appearance of dental operatories.
  • Responsible for Blood Pressure Monitoring and HBA1C point of care testing for diabetic patients.
  • Complete and maintain patient records and related administrative documentation.
  • Utilize tools, systems, technology, and equipment for data collection, records management, and collections.
