Medix is currently seeking a Data Scientist for a contract / contract to hire opportunity with one of our best healthcare clients!

Our client is a Medical Equipment / Medical Device company that specializes products for Surgery/ Operating Rooms as well as Sterile Processing. They are seeking a Data Scientist to join their Customer Insights team to help build multivariate predictive models to be used in segmentation analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working directly with business stakeholders across marketing and sales lines of business to help capture and form predictive analytics goals
• Planning for and running predictive modeling initiatives
• Conducting analysis to identify and determine the appropriate variables to run in the multivariate modeling
• Obtaining raw data from internal and subscription data feeds
• Working with Databricks, R and Python to conduct data pre-processing on large data sets (medical device and healthcare data)
• Planning for, designing and building predictive models for use cases applied across sales & marketing
• Specifically seeking prior experience in building customer segmentation, pricing, and market penetration models
• Building and tuning a variety of multivariate predictive models
• Providing summary insights to high-level executives across the company

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Required Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Data Science. Masters Degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Statistician or Data Scientist
• Expertise in multivariate predictive modeling for healthcare related data
• Strong hands-on with R, Python and SQL
• Experience with Databricks and/or Spark/PySpark preferred
