Job description

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Pharmacy Technician in data entry is to enhance guest experience by efficiently managing refill and prescription requests. This role involves processing high call volumes, managing prescription orders, and providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Daily Operations & Call Handling

  • Answer up to 140 incoming and transferred prescription calls daily.
  • Obtain and process refill and prescription requests for guests.
  • Engage with guests to create a positive experience through professional phone etiquette.

Prescription Management & Processing

  • Process up to 400 prescription orders each day using Script Pro software.
  • Request authorization from doctors for prescriptions as needed.
  • Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the Script Pro robotic dispensing system.
  • Process online orders and help guests set up online accounts and autofill options.

Administrative & Team Support

  • Regularly check and respond to Hotze Pharmacy e-mails.
  • Set and achieve goals within assigned timeframes to enhance productivity.
  • Attend and participate actively in weekly staff meetings.
  • Continuously seek and suggest ways to improve processes for a more efficient workflow.

Qualifications & Skills



Must-Have Skills

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician registered in Texas.
  • Communication Skills: Professional phone etiquette with strong interpersonal skills.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience: 6 months of experience in a similar setting.
  • Organization: Well-organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment.
