Data Entry Clerk- Laboratory
Job description
Medix is hiring a Part-Time Data Entry Specialist for a Laboratory in Chesterfield, MO! Are you detail-oriented, organized, and looking for a flexible role with a great team? This is a fantastic opportunity for you!
What You'll Do:
- Accurately process patient information and lab specimens, ensuring seamless communication with our billing team.
- Enter data for blood and urine samples, ensuring accuracy for repeat and new patients alike.
- Handle lab-related phone inquiries, manage the fax machine, and prepare specimens for the next phase of testing.
- Collaborate with a close-knit team in a busy lab environment, processing 50-75 patients a day.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab space, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.
What We're Looking For:
- A detail-oriented, dependable individual with strong computer skills and the ability to handle repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- A fun, outgoing personality who fits well with our team culture and is eager to grow within the company.
- Prior experience in data entry, insurance knowledge, or familiarity with ICD-10 codes is a plus but not required.
