Job description

Job Summary: The Recall Specialist is responsible for processing product recalls in compliance with US FDA regulations and internal procedures. Working under general supervision, the Specialist assists customers, sales representatives, and quality personnel with recall-related activities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various internal and external groups to solve problems and ensure ongoing compliance with FDA, ISO, and internal requirements.
  • Coordinate and process recalls affecting distributed items, including notifying customers and personnel of the required actions based on the manufacturer's notification letter.
  • Ensure that products related to recalls are properly placed on hold.
  • Respond to management inquiries to resolve customer needs or concerns, including recall instructions, account listing information, and product returns and credit information.
  • Assist the Senior Recall Specialist in responding to FDA effectiveness checks.
  • Support audits by providing requested data related to the status of recalls, returns, and status reports.
  • Manage products returned by customers for recalls, including counting returned products and preparing them for disposition.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong eagerness to assist internal and external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis and data management skills.
