One of Medix's best clients is a leading Medical Device Company. They are seeking a Data Engineer to be a vital member of our high-performance data team. You'll be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines within the Data Warehouse. Your work will range from standard ETL processes to more complex implementations of new algorithms and features. Collaborating across various teams (Data Science, Data Analytics, DevOps, Software, etc.), you will ensure robust, efficient, and scalable data infrastructure to support both clinical and business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining data pipelines for the Data Warehouse, ensuring all code is rigorously tested and well-documented.
  • Maintaining and optimizing the data infrastructure to ensure high performance and minimal downtime, while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with team members to deploy new algorithms and features within the Data Warehouse.
  • Addressing bugs and inefficiencies by documenting and releasing fixes.
  • Ensuring strict confidentiality and sensitivity when handling Patient Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, DevOps, or Software Development.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of databases, ETL processes, and data structures.
  • U.S. work authorization, with the flexibility for occasional travel.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for a Master's degree in Data Engineering, Software Development, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.

Compensation is based off years of experience and in relation to the job responsibilities listed, our range is between $85,000 - $105,000.
