Job description

Hiring Medical Billing Customer Service Reps!

IN-OFFICE in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17110

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct reminder call campaigns to medical and utility clients, utilizing predictive dialing equipment, phone queues, and cell phone loops.
  • Handle pre-collect programs, ensuring debtor balances or pending service disconnections are addressed before being transferred to collections.
  • Perform self-pay monitoring, reaching out to patients with overdue payment plans to help them stay on track.
  • Learn about various clients, their operations, and their payment resolution options, providing support and guidance to patients and consumers.
  • Set up payment plans, review eligibility for charity programs, and offer payment options, all while offering compassionate customer service.
  • Take inbound and outbound calls from multiple clients, guiding patients through insurance coverage details and payment inquiries.
  • Process payments over the phone via credit card or checks and enter them into our systems to resolve accounts.
  • Assist with the distribution of statements, itemized statements, and receipts as requested by patients.
  • Collaborate with Client Coordinators, ensuring smooth reporting and accurate information entry.
  • Support new employees with training and client-specific instructions to ensure their success.
  • Follow all guidelines set forth by both the client and Penn Billing, including State and Federal regulations.
  • Achieve key performance metrics based on the number of calls, call length, and quality.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience: A strong background in customer service is key to helping patients and clients resolve their issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow client-specific guidelines and ensure all tasks are completed accurately.
  • Excellent Communication: You'll need to effectively convey payment options, instructions, and insurance information to patients and clients.
  • Pass a Background Check & Drug Screening: Must meet all necessary clearance requirements.

Nice to Have:

  • Healthcare Background: Prior experience in healthcare or billing would be beneficial but is not required.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Full-time position with mandatory attendance during your first week for onboarding.
  • If you fall short on hours, you can make up for it the following week.
