Job description

Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Harrisburg, PA (First 45 days in-office, then remote)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay: $17/hour

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will engage in reminder call campaigns and provide excellent customer service to patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reminder call campaigns primarily for medical clients and potentially utility clients using predictive dialing equipment, phone queues, and cell phones.
- Perform self-pay monitoring, making reminder calls to patients who are late on their payment plans.
- Learn and understand all aspects of call center clients, including operations, resolution options for patient balances, payment plans, and charity program eligibility.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls to various clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Access and learn multiple remote client systems as required.
- Process credit card and check payments over the phone, entering information into the appropriate systems.
- Send out statements, itemized statements, and receipts to patients as requested.
- Explain insurance coverage and address inquiries related to patient balances and billing.
- Provide limited training and support to new employees working with the same clients.
- Enter information onto spreadsheets for Client Coordinators to report back to clients on account statuses.
- Complete necessary forms for payment plans, insurance, etc., and forward them to the Coordinator.
- Adhere to client guidelines and comply with state and federal regulations when handling accounts.

Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to various client systems.
- Proficient in using computers and basic software applications, including spreadsheets.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
