Credit Balance Specialist (Medical)

One of the largest revenue cycle management companies in the nation is looking for Experienced Medical Credit Balance Specialist! Apply if qualified and interested!

• Contract to hire opportunity (6 months)
• Hybrid Opportunity (2 days in office; 3 days remote)

Day to day:

• Analyze patient accounts in assigned credit balance (CB) work queues to resolve both distributed and undistributed credit balances
• Determine proper coordination of benefits
• Add missing coverage(s) to patient accounts and/or update any outdated coverage information
• Add account comments regarding coverage changes/additions, documenting who was consulted (payer contact name and phone number, reference to website, etc.)
• Analyze credit balance inquiries and potential refund requests from other departments
• Identify payer-specific trends

• 3+ Years of recent Credit Balance experience
• Expert insurance payer knowledge, adjustments, refunds, credits, primary & secondary insurances
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to provide proof of last two years of employment (W2s, paystubs, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Outlook & Excel)
