A Revenue Cycle Management company in Lewisville, TX is looking for experienced Credit Balance Specialists to join their team.

This is a Hybrid work opportunity requiring 2 days onsite per week.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Analyze patient accounts in assigned credit balance (CB) work queues to resolve both distributed and undistributed credit balances
• Determine proper coordination of benefits
• Add missing coverage(s) to patient accounts and/or update any outdated coverage information
• Add account comments regarding coverage changes/additions, documenting who was consulted (payer contact name and phone number, reference to website, etc.)
• Analyze credit balance inquiries and potential refund requests from other departments
• Identify payer-specific trends

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ Years of recent Credit Balance experience
• Expert insurance payer knowledge (adjustments, refunds, credits, primary & secondary insurances)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Outlook & Excel)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to undergo Background Check and Drug Screen upon hire
• Education & Employment Verification upon hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST

Pay: $18-24 per hour depending on experience

Length: 800 hours/5 months Contract to Hire Opportunity with Medix (possibility of long term employment following successful completion of contract period).

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
