Job description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor transactions between Sponsors and CROs, compare Sponsor/CRO budgets with system-generated invoices, and align Sponsor/CRO tracking with accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Engage with Sponsors and CROs to address overdue payments, resolve billing conflicts, and send payment reminders.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies, correct errors, and propose measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the enhancement of billing systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Identify potential collection problems and escalate them to management with recommended actions to reduce risk.
  • Keep precise records of collection activities, client communications, and payment statuses.
  • Guide faculty and staff through the process of developing, submitting, and preparing research and non-research grants, contracts, sub-awards, and other agreements using various internal and external systems.
  • Use checklists to review grant and contract application forms to ensure accurate costs and compliance with federal regulations, award terms, and sponsor policies.
  • Examine proposals, grants, and contracts for compliance with federal grant rules and agency guidelines.
  • Use software platforms, including grant management and prospecting systems, to carry out standard tasks and resolve issues encountered by faculty and staff.
  • Respond promptly to a high volume of emails from faculty, staff, and external parties.

Qualifications:

  • Negotiation experience in Pre-award activities with sponsors
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity
