Job description

Medix is working alongside a large growing healthcare law firm in the Greenway/Upper Kirby area looking to add on Commercial Insurance Placement Analyst to their team. Apply today if you meet the qualifications/background!

Job overview:

Location: fully on-site in the Greenway/Upper Kirby area (zip code: 77027)

Pay: $16-17/hr (dependent upon experience)

Shifts/hours: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

Job duties:

  • Preparing initial demand letters to carriers, patient inquiry letters and request to physicians for medical opinions
  • Preparing second demand letters which would include a timeline of events from the date the patient presented to the hospital to the time that the hospital placed the account with our firm for handling
  • Preparing no response letters to carriers who have not responded to the first demand letter
  • Preparing other letters to carriers, doctors, patients and employers, as needed and requested by the responsible attorney

3-5 must haves/qualifications:

  • Professional writing skills
  • 1 year of experiene in a hospital setting (recent experience)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Medical records experience
