Job description
- Will be assigned 1-2 locations per Collections Specialist to handle the follow up for
- Come in, start the day by reviewing rejections --> Review rejections, correcting them and sending off
- Reviewing correspondence/mail- Items such as denial responses, EOB's that may be paid incorrectly, denials that may have been overturned, etc
- Majority of day will then be jumping into the queue and working accounts
- Following up on claims, submitting adjustments, then moving to the next one
- Will be held to 60 accounts/day
- IF you can maintain 60 accounts/day, you get to work from home!
- Minimal phone work- Only calls they may field is from Insurance companies confirming information
- Mainly verifying via payor portals (United, UMR, PMHP, etc) **Working with commercial payors
- This is a BUSY job, a lot of moving parts, being a multitasker is a necessity
- Looking for 1 year experience in anything back end revenue cycle
M-F On-site
Flexible on start/end times between 7am and 5:30pm
