• Otorhinolaryngology coder (ENT, General surgery, some Neuro)

• WI, FL, MN, NC, TN, TX

Projected State Date:

• ASAP

Day to day:

• Works with neurosurgery and other groups

• Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) general surgery procedures

• Head and neck surgeries

• Endoscopic procedures

• Volume - moderate - can vary -

• production expectation:

  • surgeries that are straight forward - 8-10 per hour

  • More complex surgeries 4 per hour

• Ambulatory clinic charge review production

  • 10 / hr is mandatory HR

  • 14/ hr being optimal

  • 8/ hr for more complex

• audiology - goes into ENT background

• FTE - temp to perm

• only review when an edit is triggered

Location:

• Remote

Top Person:

• Experienced general surgery coder with ENT and Neuro experience

• 4+ years experience coding the areas above

3-5 Must Haves:

• Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) 2 years+

• 2+ years general surgery

• 2023 E/M experience

• CPC or AAPC

• Solid communication

Nice to Have:

• EPIC experience

• nuero coding experience

Schedule/Hours/Shift:

• needs set hours -- match their trainers start at end time while in training

• Once done with training they can start as early as 6-9am then work 8 hours from there
