Job description

Hiring Certified Medical Assistants to join our Family Medicine team in Mount Laurel, NJ!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Department of Family Medicine. This role involves performing a variety of medical, clerical, and reception duties to support our healthcare team and ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Check in patients using the EPIC system; verify demographics, insurance, and collect copays.
  • Schedule appointments and verify insurance benefits and precertifications.
  • Prepare patients for visits, including taking medical histories and vital signs.
  • Document patient information in the EMR system.
  • Manage patient calls and relay information to physicians.
  • Process new patient charts and prepare charts for upcoming visits.
  • Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Complete HMO referrals and manage patient correspondence in EMR.
  • Handle office inventory, including medications and medical supplies.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned, maintaining a professional office appearance.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, No Weekends!

Qualifications:

  • National certification as a medical assistant.
  • Strong reliability and initiative, with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Experience with the EPIC system.
  • Background in family medicine.
