Job description

Position: Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse / Emergency Medical Technician
Department: Pediatrics
Location: St. Louis Park

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our Pediatrics team. This role involves supporting patients and clinicians by delivering exceptional care, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates or experienced professionals passionate about quality healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and document visit details, including vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by a clinician, RN, or standing orders.
  • Assist with procedures and treatments such as ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
  • Complete the standard rooming process, including medication reconciliation, allergy review, immunization updates, and form/questionnaire completion.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following requirements:

  1. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

    • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
    • Maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
    • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
    • One or more years of nursing experience preferred.
  2. Medical Assistant (MA):

    • Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting program.
    • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
    • One or more years of related experience preferred.
  3. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT):

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
    • Minnesota EMT license preferred.

Schedule: 32,36,and 40 hours available. Clinic is open Mon-Fri 7am-6pm.
