Job description

Overview
We are looking for a Clinical Research Nurse to support the ongoing clinical research trials onsite. The CRN will be covering trials in every therapeutic area except for oncology, which has a separate team. The CRN covers studies in different therapeutic area and works with several providers and will need to be comfortable floating throughout the facility. The team has great, tenured individuals and the bandwidth to train in certain areas. Ultimately, they would like someone to come in and be an independent contributor who wants to stay and grow with the company. Self-motivated able to work as a team and independently preferred.

Job Responsibilities
  • Regularly prescreening potential patients for inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Interacting with clinical trial patients as needed providing care based on the therapeutic area and in accordance with the study protocols
  • Giving patients proper instructions for study participation and answers patient questions as a primary point of contact for participation
  • Performing direct patient care responsibilities including performing applicable trial-related testing, clinical assessments, and blood draws and completing labs and screenings alongside patient visits
  • Documents patient updates and study related findings consistently and accurately and reports updates to the research team
  • Schedules and coordinates patient visits and follow up

Requirements
Education: ASN Required, BSN preferred, RN
Must Haves:
  • Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required
  • BLS (No specification - Red Cross or AHA)
  • Research Experience is strongly preferred
  • If no research experience, 2 years of RN experience with a proven track record of making independent decisions regarding patient care
    • Departments that have been translated well previously: ICU, Cardiology
    • Higher level departments that have an RN thinking on their feet and moving without constant guidance
  • Primary interest is not in Oncology research
  • Must take CITI training within the first month of employment. Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills Must have knowledge of basic computer functions including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet. Must have good data management skills and attention to detail.
  • Depending on job assignment travel and call may be required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
