Medix is currently looking to hire a Clinical Research Assistant for a growing Clinical Research Site in Providence, RI! This position is a full time role that will require onsite work 5 days a week. Job Description:

The role of the Clinical Research Assistant involves supporting daily clinic operations and clinical research studies. Working closely with clinical teams, this position ensures adherence to protocol guidelines and facilitates smooth study procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain comprehensive understanding of assigned studies by reviewing protocols, participating in start-up meetings, and collaborating with the Principal Investigator and study team.
  • Strictly adhere to study protocols, seeking exemptions when necessary.
  • Collect, process, and ship laboratory samples.
  • Conduct initial assessments of psychiatric and medical information through patient interviews and accessing relevant sources.
  • Skillfully identify and enroll patients in ongoing clinical trials in real-time.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining trial-related documentation.
  • Report protocol issues to the study team, Site Administrator, or Investigator as needed.
  • Perform various clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, ECG, phlebotomy, and specimen packaging.
  • Maintain accurate and timely source documentation as per sponsor requirements.
  • Educate patients and families on their specific study and clinical drug trials.
  • Undertake additional projects or tasks as assigned.
  • Provide appropriate community resource referrals to patients and families when necessary.
  • Support community outreach events.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with EMR systems preferred.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Blood draws/Phlebotomy experience

Additional Details:

  • Location: Providence, RI (02914)
  • Hours: Monday-Friday; Normal Business Hours; Onsite 5 Days a Week
  • Employment: ~6 Month Contract to Hire (~1,040 Hours) - Contracted probationary period into direct hire/permanent position
  • Pay: $20/hr-$28/hr (Dependent on Background and years of experience)
