Job description

Medix is hiring for a Clinical Research Assistant in Silver Spring, MD! This position will provide clinical support as described in the protocol to the patients enrolled in the trial. This is a great opportunity for healthcare professionals interested in breaking into the Clinical Research space. This is an entry level position with room for growth!
Research Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
  • Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
  • taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; and collecting patient history summary.
  • Learning study protocols and introducing studies to patients accurately.
  • Schedules patients based on the activity schedule in the study protocol.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Enter data in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate with the team, patients, and study sponsors appropriately and professionally.
  • Perform blood draw, sample processing and shipping.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
