Job Description:

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I is responsible for receiving and processing high-complexity tests, including blood testing, in accordance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP), CAP, and CLIA standards. Key responsibilities include accurate documentation, reagent ordering and inspection, laboratory equipment maintenance, participation in process improvement initiatives, assay implementation, and performing qualification procedures for assays and instruments. The role also involves handling customer complaints, conducting laboratory incident investigations, and ensuring proper documentation. Additionally, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist I will process samples for next-generation sequencing, strictly adhering to CAP, CLIA guidelines, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Required: Associate's degree (AS)
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in any Physical Science, Medical Technology, or Cytotechnology
  • Preferred: Clinical laboratory experience and familiarity with next-generation sequencing

Work Schedule:

On-site, Monday to Saturday (with one day off during the week).
