POSITION SUMMARY

This position is to operate a moderately complex laboratory in an outpatient physician office (Oncology). Will perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA '88 in an accurate and timely manner according to established policies and procedures.

• Responsible for startup, controls, calibration, and accuracy of procedures and

instrumentation.

• Roche c311 chemistry analyzer
• Roche e411 immunoassay analyzer
• Roche Liat

• Exercises independent judgment and can identify appropriate resources in performance of

assigned duties utilizing knowledge and skills.

• Demonstrates comprehension of theory and clinical relevance of testing.
• Demonstrates problem resolution and decision-making skills for routine operational and

technical problems.

• Must have knowledge of computer systems including Laboratory Information Systems. This lab utilizes EPIC Beaker.
• Recognizes and ensures validity of abnormal patient and/or QC results for testing. Ensures accuracy of tests results.
• Maintain and perform proficiency testing and documentation.
• Participates in detecting and documenting occurrences that deviate from defined

procedures.

• Ensures the appropriate use of supplies and materials and assists with inventory

management.

• Ensures efficient utilization of reagents and supplies.
• Self-directed and motivated.
• Communicates courteously, professionally, effectively, and accurately with office staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of bench experience (preferred).
• Preferred experience operating Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunoassay analyzers.
• Basic Computer skills.

• bench: Preferred 2 years or new CLS/MLT grad
