HIRING REMOTE CLINICAL CODING SPECIALIST

Responsibilities:

• Review documentation and coding for inpatient and outpatient professional services (hospital and office settings) prior to charge submission.
• Collaborate with providers to address and resolve any discrepancies or corrections related to selected codes.
• Stay informed of regulatory updates impacting billing and coding for both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Act as a resource for practices and departments, utilizing data analysis and coding expertise to ensure accurate reimbursement.
• Investigate coding-related billing denials and work with the Coding Educator and Revenue Integrity team to develop training materials and examples to prevent recurring issues.
• Accurately code diagnoses and document medical conditions to ensure proper coding compliance.
• Meet departmental standards for productivity and maintain high accuracy rates.

Required:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Coding Certification (CCS, RHIT, CPC)
• Minimum 1 year coding experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm EST
