Cleanroom Manufacturing Technician

Job description

Medix is partnering with an innovative medical device manufacturing group that recently recieved FDA-approved for a cardiovascular monitoring device. We are eager to identify two (2) Sensor Manufacturing Technicians to join this group as they begin to scale up their production process.

Job purpose

This role will provide manufacturing support for the development and building of an implantable blood pressure sensor device and related components. The activities will vary from day to day and will include the use of fixtures and sophisticated equipment for assembly and testing. Work will typically be performed under a microscope using small hand tools including tweezers, scalpels, and miniature swabs. Various types of chemicals and adhesives will be utilized for cleaning and assembly.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble, inspect, and test implantable medical device raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Complete required documentation with high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain records of daily activities and work performed.
  • Maintain an organized work environment.
  • Communicate with engineering and manufacturing team members regarding assembly and inspections procedures and outcomes.
  • Conform to all Safety Procedures and Workplace Rules.
  • Assist in development of new processes by performing R&D / developmental tasks.
  • Assist with training coworkers as needed.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years manufacturing industry experience.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods.
  • Ability to see colors.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office / Google Suite.
  • Ability to wear the uniform and PPE as required for working in controlled environments.
  • Ability to perform critical microscope inspection activities using fine motor dexterity skills while remaining seated for extended periods.
  • Ability to understand and complete complex tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate well (verbally and in writing) with co-workers and managers.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
