Claims Support Coordinator

Medix is hiring a Claims Support Coordinator for Contract-to-Hire role with a Remote company, Full time, paying $19.50-$21/hr! Day Shift - 5x8hr shifts/week. A great opportunity to work within one of the area's top health networks!

Qualifications/Skills:

• Healthcare customer services (insurance knowledge highly preferred)
• Claims or Appeals experience required
• A/R or Healthcare collections preferred

Responsibilities:

• Your primary objective is to provide effective and timely customer service for members, providers, insurers and clients regarding health care claims. Advocating on behalf of the member
• Organize health insurance paperwork and medical record documentation
• Negotiate with providers on plan member balances, challenge denials of claims by the insurance company
• Communicate with medical offices, hospitals, laboratories, etc... in an effort to obtain relevant records for the patient's case
• Assist with understanding of explanation of benefits (EOBs)
• Understand the evolving business requirements and adapt the operational processes to meet those requirements
• Speak clearly, confidently and have a friendly phone demeanor while demonstrating persuasion in overcoming objections
