Shift: 4x10 schedule Mon-Fri, schedule given in advance, earliest start time 6am and latest end time 6pm
Typical pay range: $45.00-$50.00 hourly

Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide nursing care to ensure the safety of the patient during their transfer and stay in the surgical suite/procedure room. This Circulating Nurse will be handling spine and total joint cases. 80% of the job will include walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and moving patients.
Duties:
Plans care to ensure patient safety while directing and assisting in carrying out safe techniques and procedures
Supervises and directs the activities of surgical technician and non-professional personnel as necessary
Checks rooms for needed supplies and prepares room for specific patients and procedures
Assist in transporting patients to the operating/procedure room and check records for pre-op preparation and procedures
Performs and/or directs appropriate surgical prep
Completes documentation for operating/procedure records, laboratory requisitions, and patient charts including medications and physician orders
Identifies, labels, and cares for all surgical specimens properly
Set up operating/procedure room and instruments according to the routine for a given procedure
Performs clean up following procedures

Requirements
2 to 3 years of OR Circulating Nursing experience
Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse License
CPR/BLS and Advanced Life Support Certification Required
Experience working in total joint orthopedics required
