Job description

Medix is currently hiring for a Children's Outpatient Therapist in Kansas City, MO. This position is fully remote but must be licensed in the state of Missouri. The Therapist will be working with ages 3-17 and must be well versed in play therapy. We are only looking Therapists open for full time. No part time hours are available at this time.

Types of Licenses in Missouri: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), (PLPC), or (LMSW).

Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Job Description

As an Outpatient Therapist for the Behavioral Health department, you will be a part of a team of caregivers to provide care for the people who need it the most. Our Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to adolescents, and their families. The Therapist performs psychosocial assessments to address behavioral and mental health symptoms. If you have a passion for service, and want a position that gives you an opportunity to improve the lives of others, this role is for you.Training period - 90 day training period, that's when you ramp up to 35 case loads, time to shadow sessions, time to talk through scheduling, process, at end of 90 days should be ramped up and ready to go.

Successful Candidate will have:

  • Master's Degree in either Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and a license in the State of Missouri. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), (PLPC), or (LMSW).
  • At least two (2) years of counseling experience. Practicum Experience is Acceptable.
  • Applicants should be comfortable with providing telehealth services.
  • Working knowledge of the DSM- 5 and the ability to assess mental health disorders
