Job description

Job Title: Director of Corporate Finance

Compensation: $300,000 - $350,000 depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Overview:
The Director of Corporate Finance is responsible for protecting the financial assets of the company and its affiliated entities. This position oversees financial management and strategy for multiple hospitals, ensuring the efficient identification and control of income and expenditures. The role provides strategic financial guidance, supporting administrative leadership in revenue enhancement and cost control while aligning with organizational goals, market trends, and community needs. Additionally, the position oversees all corporate finance functions for the Company and provides guidance to the Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) across its entities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in healthcare financial services at a senior financial level or higher.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or CPA certification required.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

General Management Accountabilities:

  • Uphold the Company's Management Principles, Mission, Vision, Values, and Code of Conduct.
  • Provide timely performance evaluations and administer performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all applicable state and local laws.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and job descriptions in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Forecast and manage annual budgets, ensuring proper allocation of financial resources.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in financial decision-making.
  • Support administrative directives and actively participate in required management meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain patient and employee safety standards, ensuring compliance with hospital safety protocols.

Financial Management Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Company's financial resources, ensuring their effective utilization.
  • Review, analyze, and communicate financial reports to CEOs, Boards of Directors, and senior management.
  • Ensure timely submission of federal, state, and third-party financial reports.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, financial advisors, and legal counsel.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial reports, including monthly operating reports and budgets.
  • Work with tax advisors on liquidity planning and tax efficiency strategies.
  • Direct preparation of income tax returns and oversee external audit/examination processes.
  • Develop strategic financial plans, including cost studies, rate setting, and reimbursement optimization.
  • Oversee financial aspects of construction projects as assigned.
  • Implement and refine internal control systems to safeguard financial assets.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Corporate Finance Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all corporate finance functions and financial operations of subsidiary entities.
  • Manage acquisitions, investments, and corporate growth opportunities.
  • Develop cash flow and liquidity budgets, ensuring effective cash management.
  • Oversee bank covenant projections and compliance, working closely with finance teams.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with banking institutions and oversee debt financing strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new investment opportunities, asset sales, and corporate development initiatives.
  • Ensure effective financial planning for intergenerational wealth management in collaboration with legal counsel and insurance providers.

Customer Service Commitment:

  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy towards patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
  • Ensure subordinates adhere to high customer service standards.

This role requires a strategic and analytical leader with deep expertise in healthcare finance, corporate financial management, and regulatory compliance. The Director of Corporate Finance will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization and its affiliated entities.
