Chemistry Laboratory Technician

Job description

*This is a temporary position expected to last until the end of 2024*

May 2024 graduates encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct raw material testing primarily using FTIR.
  • Perform volume-based raw material sample testing.
  • Record incoming raw materials through data entry.
  • Utilize databases and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, and LIMS) for data recording.
  • Conduct various tests including wet chemistry, vacuum oven, and Karl Fisher.
  • Test appearance, color, and odor of materials.
  • Generate and print out testing protocols and various reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field preferred
  • Experience in raw material testing and data entry.
  • Proficiency in FTIR analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and LIMS software.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
