Job Description - Chemist I

Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Chemist I to operate under the guidance of our Research & Innovation Manager. The role entails the preparation, creation, and testing of batch and finished products. Additionally, the Chemist I will conduct routine and specialized tests to identify any quality or stability issues that require resolution. As a key technical representative, they will liaise with select client accounts, addressing inquiries, participating in status calls, and overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept to production. We are seeking a dedicated professional with experience in personal care and laboratory testing.

Responsibilities & Main Activities (including but not limited to):

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned client accounts.
  • Manage email correspondence and participate in scheduled status update calls.
  • Prepare routine sample batches following established protocols and equipment standards.
  • Conduct routine and specialized stability and compatibility tests using technical equipment and instruments.
  • Accurately calculate and document test results, some of which may involve computer-based reporting.
  • Perform quality control activities and equipment calibration when necessary.
  • Collaborate as a team player, assisting Chemist II, Chemist III, and Managers in the creation of routine batches when required, in addition to daily responsibilities.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, including compliance with all cGMP, safety, health, and environmental regulations.
