Job description

Overview:

The Chemist will be a key contributor to the development, testing, and optimization of products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance. This role involves conducting chemical analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, ensuring they meet required specifications.

The Chemist will collaborate with product development teams to optimize formulations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and other regulatory standards. The role also includes preparing and reviewing documentation for regulatory submissions and ensuring all formulations meet industry guidelines.

Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment is crucial to this role, ensuring accurate testing and a safe, efficient work environment. The Chemist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Production, to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion. The position also involves mentoring junior staff and staying updated on industry trends to improve product quality and laboratory practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in chemical analysis, formulation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of FDA, GMP, and other industry regulations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience maintaining laboratory equipment.
