Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Charge Entry Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical charges by reviewing and entering patient and charge information into our electronic health record system, EPIC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the billing data, verifying codes, and ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards.



Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

  • Analyzes medical records for consistency and completeness, and verifies the accuracy of coding and billing
  • Enters data into the medical facility's computer system, including medical and billing codes, and insurance information
  • Computes fees and payments that payors (or patients) owe
  • Maintains records in accordance with medical and legal standards
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • The individual in this role will review excel sheets with demographic/ charge info and enter the information into EPIC.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • EPIC experience
  • 1-2 years of Professional Medical Billing experience
  • Charge Entry experience

Schedule/ Shift: M-F, 8am-4:30pm or 7:30am-4pm (half hour lunch)
