Job Title: Billing Specialist, Cardiac (Remote, Full-Time)

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with experience in cardiac billing to join our expanding team. This role involves handling billing and reimbursement processes for medical devices. The specialist will prepare and submit claims, research reimbursement guidelines, and resolve billing issues by coordinating with payers and healthcare providers. This full-time remote position reports to the Billing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all state and federal billing regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, Medicaid, OIG, etc.
Verify patient demographics (e.g., name, address, DOB) and insurance eligibility.
Ensure accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for all services.
Process and submit claims according to payer and government guidelines in a timely manner.
Correct and complete claims for submission, reviewing daily for accuracy.
Address claim rejections and handle resubmissions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding, documentation, and claim processing.
Perform additional billing-related tasks to support the department as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Typing speed: 60-70 WPM.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with medical terminology, cardiology coding, and billing requirements.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills to coordinate with various departments.
Previous experience with medical billing systems like DrChrono, BrightTree, and others.
Requirements:
1-3 years of recent experience in a similar role.
Remote work experience required.
Preferred: Specialty certification in cardiovascular and thoracic coding (CCVTC) or cardiology coding (CCC).
