Job description
- Perform technical and aseptic manipulations within ISO 5 laminar hoods.
- Accurately compound all required types of sterile preparations in compliance with batch records.
- Operate compounding equipment precisely and according to policy and procedure.
- Execute sterile techniques, including:
- Injecting active drugs into sterile IV bags
- Filling syringes with medication for injection
- Pooling vials into sterile empty bags using a repeater pump
- Complete batch records for orders using good documentation practices.
- Verify the inclusion of drugs and supplies in data before use.
- Maintain and clean the compounding room and related equipment daily, following the Company's SOPs and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Properly label and package finished products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the pharmacist and/or supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Adhere to policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate thorough job knowledge by completing all annual competencies and skills validations.
