Certified Pharmacy Technician- Sterile Compounding

Job description

  • Perform technical and aseptic manipulations within ISO 5 laminar hoods.
  • Accurately compound all required types of sterile preparations in compliance with batch records.
  • Operate compounding equipment precisely and according to policy and procedure.
  • Execute sterile techniques, including:
    • Injecting active drugs into sterile IV bags
    • Filling syringes with medication for injection
    • Pooling vials into sterile empty bags using a repeater pump
  • Complete batch records for orders using good documentation practices.
  • Verify the inclusion of drugs and supplies in data before use.
  • Maintain and clean the compounding room and related equipment daily, following the Company's SOPs and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Properly label and package finished products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the pharmacist and/or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate thorough job knowledge by completing all annual competencies and skills validations.
