Job description

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry and Administrative Support

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in data entry of physician orders and E-kit usage into the dispensing system, manage admissions paperwork, and serve as a backup for pharmacy fill technicians. This role also involves performing basic administrative duties such as scanning, filing, typing, and organizing final medication orders for delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter physician orders and E-kit usage into the dispensing system.
  • Manage and process admissions paperwork.
  • Serve as a backup for pharmacy fill technicians to assist with medication order filling.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and typing.
  • Pack and organize final medication orders into delivery totes for distribution.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and stay on task throughout the day.
  • Contribute to team objectives by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Process all charges generated by the department using medication profiles, individual charge cards, and floor stock forms.
  • Type all correspondence for the department as needed.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, direct them to the appropriate individuals, and manage messages.
  • Establish and maintain office and general files for the department.
  • Provide receptionist duties to visitors, including gathering and directing information as necessary.
  • Distribute mail as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) license.
  • Good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Prior experience in long-term care.
  • Previous data entry experience.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Full-time position with availability required Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (weekends typically scheduled every other week).
