Job Posting: Certified Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate processing of prescriptions and the smooth operation of the prescription fulfillment process. You will enter prescription data, monitor the prescription processing workflow, and resolve any issues that arise to ensure the highest level of service for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prescription Data Entry:
  • Accurately enter prescription information into pharmacy software.
  • Interpret and transcribe prescription details, including written date, drug name, strength, directions for use, refills, prescribing physician's name, and prescriber DEA number.
  • Create or update patient/customer records as necessary.
  • Problem Resolution in Prescription Fulfillment:
  • Monitor and resolve issues in the prescription fulfillment process.
  • Investigate and determine root causes of problems, including system errors, insurance rejections, and stock availability.
  • Process third-party insurance claims and coordinate with insurance companies to resolve rejections.
  • Interpret return messages, reject codes, and insurance problem descriptions to reprocess claims accurately.
  • Alert patients to inventory issues, partial fills, and required physician authorizations for refills.
  • Collaborate with IT support to address system-related issues using screen shots and detailed reports.
  • Escalate cases requiring pharmacist intervention.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • National pharmacy certification and Texas Pharmacy License
  • Prior experience in pharmacy operations, prescription data entry, or insurance claims processing (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred).

Job Type: Full time

Compensation: $ 20.50

Hours: 40 hours/week - various schedules

Location: Carrollton, TX 75006

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
