Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Carrollton, TX

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will accurately enter and manage prescription data while providing excellent customer service and support to our patients. This role requires precision, adherence to compliance standards, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prescription Data Entry:
  • Enter prescription information into pharmacy software by reading and interpreting prescriptions.
  • Translate prescription details into corresponding system codes and transcribe appropriate prescription data, including written date, drug name, strength, directions for use, refills, prescriber information, and DEA number.
  • Create or update patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Customer Service:
  • Respond to calls from pharmacy patients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist patients with questions about their prescriptions, insurance, and pharmacy services.
  • Resolve patient issues or direct them to the appropriate pharmacist or team member as needed.
  • Provide clear and accurate information, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Tech Certification and Texas Pharmacy Tech License (we cannot accept trainee licenses)
  • Proficient in prescription data entry and familiar with pharmacy systems.
  • Strong customer service skills with experience handling patient calls.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Experience handling and securing medical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to maintain a clean and compliant workspace.
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations and a commitment to keeping up-to-date with policy changes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Job Type: Full time

Compensation: $20.50

Hours: Full time - various schedules available

Location: Carrollton, TX

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
