Certified Nursing Assistant

Medix is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant to join a well-established organization in Los Angeles, CA 90018 to assist with care of geriatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee direct care of 12 participants at a Day Center.
• Assist with meals alongside the Dietary Aide personnel to ensure adherence of primary care provider's recommendation.
• Engage participants in stimulating activities such as art, crafts, bingo, etc.
• Provide assistance with transporting participants within the Day Center to various activity points and on/off the shuttle.
• Ensure proper hygiene of participants throughout the day, assisting with toileting.
• Document and report any changes in health or behavior to the Shift Supervisor.
• Clean and disinfect the common areas at the end of the day to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Requirements / Experience:

• CA-certified Nursing Assistant
• BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Open to new grads with some experience of interacting with the geriatric population
• 1 year of CNA experience (preferred)
• Soft skills/ passion and enthusiasm to assist the elderly

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 8:00-4:30 pm

Dresscode:

• Scrubs- any color

Pay range:

$19-23/hr BOE
