Job Title: Medical Assistant (Back Office)
Location: Kirkland, WA
$1,000 Sign-On Bonus (upon completion)


Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant (Back Office) to join our dynamic team in Kirkland. This exciting opportunity allows you to play an essential role in providing excellent patient care in a growing GI practice. This role is a unique blend of both back office and front office responsibilities, ensuring an engaging and varied workday.


Key Responsibilities:



Front Office Duties (40% of your time):

  • Patient Communication: Answer phones, manage prescription refills, and ensure timely follow-up on patient inquiries.
  • Results Management: Collaborate with providers to get results back to patients.
  • Patient Education & Referrals: Educate patients about treatments and procedures while guiding them to appropriate facilities as needed.
  • Procedure Scheduling: Help schedule patient procedures efficiently to ensure optimal care.


Back Office Duties (60% of your time):

  • Patient Rooming: Greet and room patients with a focus on patient comfort and ensuring proper flow of care.
  • Vitals and Documentation: Take accurate patient vitals and update their medical chart with thorough, timely documentation.
  • Assisting Providers: Support providers in administering treatments and procedures according to their orders.
  • Prescription Management: Under direction from providers, manage prescription refills in compliance with clinic protocols.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and state health department safety guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain positive relationships with team members, providers, and clinic staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required (NO RMA applicants).
  2. Interest in GI (Gastrointestinal) care and willingness to learn.
  3. Teachable & adaptable: Ability to learn and grow within the clinic, handle mistakes, and learn from them.
  4. 1+ year of experience in a medical setting, ideally in a back-office role.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Gastrointestinal (GI) experience is a plus.
  • 1 year of experience in a similar medical assistant role.

Interview Process:

  1. Initial Interview: 30-minute onsite interview with Julie.
  2. Working Interview: After the initial interview, participate in a 30-60 minute working interview to meet the team and ask questions.
  3. Training: Our training is highly individualized, including a GI anatomy review and a thorough introduction to the clinic's flow.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule/Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each.
