Job description

An Oncology Department in Tacoma is looking for Medical Assistants to join their team.
Overview of Responsibilities:
● MAs/LPNs operate on the provider side, responsible for watching patients checking in,
gravitating to the front office and walking them to the back room
● Very high volume, may see up to 30 patients in a given shift
● Conducting medication reviews and assessment with patients and communicating
any anomalies to the responsible provider
● Scheduling and confirming follow up appointments with patients
● Processing injection orders from providers and administering injections if needed
● MA/LPNs will be responsible for communicating directly with the infusion side of the
clinic and helping transition patients
● Sanitizing rooms after patients have been roomed, restocking and providing our
clinical support to operations
● 1:1 relationship with a provider in a given shift

Requirements:
● Certified Medical Assistant through Washington State Department of Health
● Tenor in previous roles
● Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask

Additional Skills:
● Previous Oncology Experience
● Epic Experience


Schedule/Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (4 10's schedule)

Contract Length:
800 hours (approximately 5 months). Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after
satisfactory completion of contract.
