Medical Assistant

A Cancer Center in Spokane is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Medical Assistants operate on the provider side, responsible for watching patients checking in, gravitating to the front office and walking them to the back room.
  • Conducting medication reviews and assessment with patients and communicating any anomalies to the responsible provider
  • Scheduling and confirming follow up appointments with patients
  • Processing injection orders from providers and administering injections if needed
  • Confirm and schedule follow up appointments
  • Sanitizing rooms after patients have been roomed, restocking and providing our clinical support to operations
  • 1:1 relationship with a provider in a given shift

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant through Washington State Department of Health
  • Tenor in previous roles
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask

Additional Skills:

  • Previous Oncology Experience
  • EPIC Experience

Soft Skills:

  • Interpersonal Skills - good communication
  • Willing to ask questions and learn new things
  • Confidence to provide feedback
  • Ability to multitask

Schedule/Shift:

Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Pay: $22 - $30/hour

Contract Length:

700 hours, opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract
