Job description

Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a medical assistant to support our Urogynecology department in Olympia. The successful candidate will handle standard medical assistant responsibilities, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and providing general support to the clinic.

This is a high-volume clinic with two providers. While the providers perform procedures and offer pelvic reconstructive services, the primary focus of the medical assistant will be managing patient flow and rooming patients.

Candidates should be prepared to work exclusively within the Urogynecology department, though there may be occasional requests to assist in other specialty departments within the facility if necessary.

General Responsibilities:

  • Rooming Patients, taking vitals signs and managing the flow of patients
  • Conducting medication reviews and assessment with patients and communicating any anomalies to the responsible provider.
  • Assistance in procedures relevant to urology
  • Assistance in managing the in-basket of the provider team and following up regarding patient inquiries
  • Sanitizing rooms after patients have been roomed, restocking and providing our clinical support to operations
  • Providing general clinical support as directed
  • Women's health care

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant through Washington State Department of Health

Additional Skills:

  • Family Medicine experience
  • EPIC EMR experience

Schedule/Shift:

M-F 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Contract Length:

700 hours (approximately 4 months). Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.

Pay:

$22 - $28 / hour + 401(K) + sick + medical, dental, vision insurance
