Certified Medical Assistant
Job description
We are looking for a medical assistant to join our Endocrinology department. You must have ambulatory practice experience. It is a relatively busy clinic so you must also have experience working with high patient volume. Ideally we are looking for 2-3 years of MA experience and you must be certified within 3-6 months of hire. We use Athena for our EMR but it is not a requirement to have this experience as you will go through a full training in first week
Overview
- Rooming patients
- Taking vital signs
- Prepping patients to be seen by provider
- Medication reconciliation/a lot of diabetic medications
- Injections
- Meter readings
- Using Athena for EMR documentation
Must Have Skills/Qualifications: ambulatory practice experience, injection experience, and high patient volume experience.
Schedule/Shift: M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm
