Job description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant

Location: Bergenfield, NJ 07621
Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Contract Length: At least 3 months (potential for permanent position based on performance)
Pay Rate: $21 - $23 per hour

General Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a dual role that combines administrative and clinical responsibilities. This position is essential for ensuring smooth patient flow and providing high-quality care in a supportive and well-equipped office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with primary health and patient care management under general supervision.
  • Conduct patient interviews to gather personal, demographic, and financial information.
  • Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks including answering phones, providing customer assistance, and managing data entry and record keeping.
  • Facilitate the flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms, preparing patients for physician visits to maximize efficiency.
  • Administer injections and handle medication documentation as needed, requiring certification.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required, specifically for injection administration and medication handling
