Job description

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Sewell, NJ!

  • Pay: $18-20/hour
  • Hours: M-F 7:30 - 4 PM OR 8-4:30 PM
  • Location: Sewell, NJ

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide comprehensive medical, clerical, and reception support in an outpatient setting. The CMA will assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments, while ensuring adherence to all applicable policies and procedures. This role involves a combination of front and back-end tasks within a smaller practice environment.

Responsibilities:

- Room patients and perform initial assessments.
- Triaging patients and managing authorizations.
- Handle front-end duties including checking patients in and out.
- Support various clerical tasks as required by the practice.
- Maintain a 1:1 CMA to physician ratio.
- Average patient load: 16-20 per day.
- No phlebotomy, EKGs, or vaccine administration required.

Requirements:
- National CMA Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records.

Soft Skills/Attributes:
- Strong team player with a professional demeanor in patient interactions.
