We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team ASAP! The position is with a medical office in Wayne, NJ. Listed below is the job description & requirements for the role:

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Greet patients, verify their information, and prepare them for examination. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and assist with patient assessments.
• Clinical Duties: Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, administering medications, and assisting with minor surgical procedures. Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
• Administrative Support: Schedule patient appointments, handle medical records, and manage correspondence. Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with information regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Answer patient questions and address any concerns in a compassionate manner.
• Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication between patients and medical staff. Assist with referrals and insurance processes as needed.
• Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols. Maintain certification through ongoing education and training.

Requirements:

-Valid National Certification from a recognized accediting body such as the NHA or AAMA.

-Minimum of 1 year of CMA/MA experience.
