Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking experienced Certified Medical Assistants to join our dynamic healthcare team and float between Spokane Valley and North Spokane locations. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians with medical procedures in-office, with a focus on phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Primary Key Performance Areas:

  • Perform quality control procedures before patient testing.
  • Conduct laboratory blood work and blood draws following proper procedures.
  • Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation.
  • Coordinate outside labs based on patient insurance plans.
  • Maintain logs and records as per regulatory requirements.
  • Follow patient identification policies and procedures.
  • Obtain vital signs, height, weight, pain level, and PHQ9 depression screening.
  • Assist physicians with various medical procedures.
  • Schedule outside testing, referrals, and hospital admissions.
  • Thorough documentation in medical record chart.
  • Show critical blood counts to physicians.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and initiate troubleshooting procedures when needed.
  • Perform EKG testing where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is a must.
  • Phlebotomy experience or certification is a nice-to-have.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (no nights, no weekends).

Pay: $19-$25 depending on experience
