Job description

Purpose:

We are currently hiring for multiple Certified Medical Assistants in College Station for an annual Flu clinical study. This is a great opportunity for any certified Medical Assistant who wants to get experience in Clinical Research!

The duties of a clinical research CMA focus on helping to run clinical research trials. This can include anything from subject recruitment to data collection & quality control to data analysis and grant writing.



Duties:

  • Follow study protocol and SOPs to approach, screen and interview patients to enroll into an outpatient research project
  • Navigate electronic medical records for potential study participants
  • Specimen collection will include nasal and throat swabs and may include venous blood collection
  • Perform accurate data entry
  • Ensure proper specimen labeling and prepare for daily transportation via lab courier
  • Communicate and Coordinate patient approach and study procedures with clinic staff and providers

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • 2+ years of experience as a medical assistant or in a Medical related position
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • COVID 19 vaccination
  • Can not use tobacco products of any kind
